About Us
Cookin' Stu is a collaborative music project founded by producer Gab de Soul with the vision of fostering creativity in both music production and songwriting. Alongside fellow producer Jack Becker, Gab hosts recording sessions in their apartment, primarily featuring emerging artists from Berklee College of Music.
What started in April 2024 as an informal creative space has since evolved into a fully documented project—beginning in September 2024, each session has been recorded and filmed, capturing raw musical creation as it unfolds.
Gab de Soul - Creator & Host (@gabdesoul)
Gabriel is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, mixing engineer, and songwriter who works across a wide range of musical styles. His sound draws from his love for dream pop, neo-psychedelia, and dance music, blending atmospheric textures with rhythmic energy. Passionate about collaboration and the human dynamics of creativity, Gab conceptualized and now manages Cookin' Stu, creating a space where artists can push boundaries and explore new ideas. He's always excited to take part in projects that span different emotions and genres, constantly finding new ways to connect through music.
Cookin' Stu came to life when Gabriel noticed how often creative freedom was limited in music-making and how rare unexpected collaborations had become. Wanting to change that, he threw himself into building a space where artists could break the mold and create freely. Seeing the incredible talent around him at Berklee College of Music, he also recognized the potential of turning it into a video-based project—one that not only captured these moments but shared them with a wider audience. Through Cookin' Stu, he hopes to inspire more people to create, collaborate, and think outside the box—musician or not!
Jack Becker - The Homie & Co-Host (@jackrbecker)
Jack Becker is a dynamic and versatile producer whose musical journey spans a wide range of genres, from Pop and Indie to Folk and Hip Hop. Originally a jazz drummer in San Diego, Jack's passion for music and production evolved as he honed his craft at Berklee College of Music, where he is studying Music Production and Engineering. With a knack for blending styles, Jack is quickly making a name for himself by collaborating with diverse artists and bringing fresh, genre-defying sounds to the music he works on. Driven by a deep love for music in all its forms, he's eager to continue pushing creative boundaries and shaping the next wave of forward-thinking music.
Without Jack, Cookin' Stu might have remained just an idea—but thanks to his dedication, it has flourished into a fully realized project. From the very beginning, before it even had a name, he has been instrumental in hosting, organizing, producing, and shaping what it is today. Not only does he co-host the sessions in the apartment he shares with Gab, but he also pours his time and energy into ensuring that everything runs smoothly and professionally, helping Cookin' Stu grow into the creative force it is today.

Vulang Nguyen is a music and film creative, founder of Déjame Productions, and a senior at Emerson College studying business and marketing. With experience spanning A&R, production, and marketing, he has worked with Z2 Comics, Artist Live Global Village, and LiveNation—all while running on caffeine and chaotic creativity.
Without Vu, Cookin' Stu wouldn't exist on screen. He's the one behind the cameras, making sure every session is captured with precision and creativity. From framing the perfect shot to keeping the production running smoothly, Vu ensures that no moment of the creative process is lost. His keen eye and technical expertise bring the energy of each session to life, allowing viewers to experience the sessions just as they unfold.
YouTrustingMe - Post-Production (@youtrustingme)
Post production for Cookin' Stu is handled by Aris Chatman (@sirasounds) and his production company YouTrustingMe. Aris is the creator and director of the hit YouTube show The Cave hosted by Kenny Beats. Notably Aris has also directed music videos, documentaries and social content for Joji, IDLES, Channel Tres, Spotify, Zack Fox, Paris Texas, Rich Brian etc.
Aris's team is the glue that brings Cookin' Stu together in post-production. With a keen eye for storytelling and years of experience in studio videography, their editing keeps each session dynamic, engaging, and true to the energy of the moment through seamless cuts and thoughtful pacing, YouTrustingMe ensures that every video flows effortlessly, making the creative process not just compelling but accessible to all—even those with no musical background. Their expertise in visual storytelling draws viewers in, shaping each episode into something immersive, exciting, and easily watchable.
Annabelle - Graphic Design (@annabelle.m.j)
Annabelle is the graphic designer behind Cookin' Stu's brand identity. Based in London, she specializes in visual identity, typography, and editorial design. With a background in architecture, she brings a cross-disciplinary approach to her work and loves connecting with artists to enrich her creative process.
What started as messy moodboards and sketches exploded into a fully realized aesthetic with Annabelle's expertise. She played a key role in shaping the visuals, refining the details, and ensuring that wherever Cookin' Stu goes, its identity stays bold, recognizable, and unmistakably its own.
